About the event
Join us for a free Art Workshop!
We invite you to participate in a workshop where participants will learn basic techniques of assembling and designing jewelry inspired by Mexican culture.
About the workshop:
Participants will learn how to make a necklace, bracelet, or pair of earrings using crystals and decorative Mexican clay accessories. This jewelry-making workshop is for beginners. No experience is required.
Workshop led by Danny T
Danny T was raised in Puebla and New York. He has had a keen interest and talent for crafts since he was a young child. Growing up with his grandparents, he was immersed in Mexican traditions. One of his earliest memories is of the family coming together to prepare offerings for the altar to honor their departed loved ones.
Free admission. All materials are provided. Please note: Space is limited; advance registration is required. The workshop is for adults.
This workshop is part of the Imagine Mexico: Art Enrichment Workshop series, made possible by the West Harlem Development Corporation, the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by The Mosaic Network and Fund (MNF).
All participants must register separately. Each individual can sign up for up to 3 workshops in this series.
