About the event

New York Son Jarocho Quartet

Experience the vibrant rhythms and rich culture of Mexico with the New York Son Jarocho Quartet. Led by Zapateado dancer and artist Julia del Palacio, this dynamic ensemble brings traditional Son Jarocho music, dance, and poetry to life by blending lively melodies, intricate footwork, and heartfelt storytelling.

Join us for a memorable performance that celebrates the spirit of Veracruz through a fusion of authentic instruments and contemporary flair, helping to preserve and promote three centuries of Jarocho tradition across the US East Coast and beyond.
