After months of preparing for the Day of the Dead— from making cornhusk flowers to crafting flaked wax candles—and spending three days building our Ofrenda amid heavy rain and wind, it became a beautiful tribute filled with love for our departed loved ones.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2025 Día de Muertos celebrations! They were heartfelt events celebrating life, with families, friends, and neighbors gathering to honor our ancestors. The highlight was our grand ofrenda created for our loved ones who have passed away, beautifully crafted by Danny T, Rosa Ocampo, Luz Aguirre, Gabriela Bahena, and Carlos Cano.

Tras meses de preparación para el Día de Muertos (desde hacer flores de hojas de maíz o totomoxtle hasta crear velas de cera escamada) y tres días construyendo nuestra ofrenda bajo la intensa lluvia y el viento, se convirtió en un hermoso tributo lleno de amor por nuestros seres queridos que ya no están con nosotros.

¡Gracias a todos los que participaron en nuestras celebraciones del Día de Muertos 2025! Fueron celebraciones de la vida, con familias, amigos y vecinos reunidos para honrar a nuestros ancestros. El momento culminante fue nuestra gran ofrenda, creada en memoria de nuestros seres queridos fallecidos, bellamente elaborada por Danny T., Rosa Ocampo, Luz Aguirre, Gabriela Bahena y Carlos Cano.

Join us on Nov 2 for the Day of the Dead at St. Mark’s, featuring a large Ofrenda, marketplace, and performances by Cetiliztli Nauhcampa, Nylzher, and Mariachi Hidalgo. At 5 pm, as our Ofrenda is taken down, we will share some of its items with the public.

Naming the Lost Memorials displays the COVID Memorial on St. Mark’s fence from November 1-14.
